Memo to self: gmrun is my application launcher of choice. Replace the Ubuntu default from gconf-editor. Look for metacity keybindings.
update for compiz:
1) apt-get install compizconfig-settings-manager
2) run ccsm
3) goto general->commands
4) in an empty line put “gmrun” (without quotes).
5) goto general->key bindings
6) Add a keybinding for the command line you just added. If you pick Alt-F2, you’ll be told that it’s already in use but you can override that.
if you like gmrun, check out bashrun (http://bashrun.sourceforge.net)
Thanks, that looks nice. I’ll try it out.
