I’ve been an emacs user ever since moved from MS Windows to Linux in late 1999 and Emacs has been one of those apps that have really made me happy. But over the last few years being an emacs fan has become harder and harder. One thing that I’d really love to see is some sort of package management system for emacs add ons. If I googled “emacs package management” for ten minutes I’d probably find that ten people attempted to build something like that. And just as sure they’d all be poorly maintained and not in widespread use. For someone like me, not at the core of the emacs community,
I’ve been looking for a replacement for some time. Installed a couple of full blown IDEs but haven’t had the patience to really learn one. Now finally I’ve decided to give vim a shot.
